This Privacy Policy explains how Clever Cat Studios (“we,”
“us,” or “our”) handles information in connection with the mobile
game Orchard On Ice (the “App,” package name
com.bhuie.orchardonice), available on Google Play. By downloading or using the
App, you agree to the practices described in this policy.
Orchard On Ice is a single-player arcade catcher game that is free to download and supported by advertising. We do not require an account, and we do not ask you for your name, email address, or other personal details to play. Your game progress is stored only on your device. The App displays advertisements provided by Google AdMob, which relies on a third-party advertising service that may collect certain device and usage information as described below. You may optionally make a one-time in-app purchase to remove ads; purchases are handled by Google Play, and we never receive your payment card details.
The App saves your gameplay data — such as your best score, sound preference, and whether you have purchased the ad-free option — in local storage on your device. This information stays on your device, is not transmitted to us, and is removed if you clear the App’s data or uninstall the App.
The free, ad-supported version of the App shows ads (for example, between runs, or when you resume play) through Google AdMob, Google’s mobile advertising service. To serve, measure, and (where permitted) personalize ads, Google and its partners may automatically collect and process information, which can include:
We do not control the data that Google and its partners collect through the advertising SDK. Their processing of this information is governed by Google’s own privacy policy and advertising terms (see Section 7).
If you buy the ad-free option, your payment is processed by Google Play, not by us. We do not receive or store your payment card or bank details. We receive from Google Play only the limited information needed to deliver and restore your purchase — such as the product identifier, an order or purchase token, and your purchase/entitlement status. See Section 5 for details.
The App requests no special device permissions and does not access your contacts, photos, microphone, camera, or precise (GPS) location.
The free version of the App uses Google AdMob to display ads. Depending on your region and choices, ads may be personalized (based on information Google associates with your device) or non-personalized (based only on general, contextual signals).
If you purchase the ad-free option, the App stops displaying ads and no longer uses the advertising service to collect the information described in Section 2(b).
You can control ad personalization for the free version:
Opting out of personalized ads does not remove ads from the free version — you will still see non-personalized ads. To remove ads entirely, use the in-app purchase described below.
The App offers an optional one-time in-app purchase that removes advertising. All purchases are processed through Google Play’s billing system. Google collects and processes your payment information under its own terms and privacy policy; we do not receive, handle, or store your payment card number or financial account details.
To grant, verify, and restore your purchase across your devices, we and the App may process limited, non-financial purchase information provided by Google Play — such as the product identifier, an order ID or purchase token, and whether the ad-free entitlement is active. Your purchases are tied to your Google account by Google Play so that you can restore them.
We do not sell your personal information for money. We do not share the on-device game data described in Section 2(a) with anyone. Information collected through the advertising SDK (Section 2(b)) is shared with and processed by Google and its advertising partners for the purposes of serving and measuring ads. Purchase information (Section 2(c)) is processed by Google Play to complete your transaction. Under some privacy laws, the use of advertising identifiers for personalized (cross-context behavioral) advertising may be considered a “sale” or “sharing” of personal information; you can opt out using the controls in Section 4 and Section 8, or remove ads through the in-app purchase.
We may also disclose information if required to do so by law, or to protect our rights, users, or the public.
The App relies on the following third-party services, each of which has its own privacy policy:
Depending on where you live, you may have rights over your personal information — such as the right to access, correct, or delete it, to object to or restrict certain processing, or to opt out of personalized advertising or its “sale”/“sharing.” You can:
For residents of the European Economic Area / United Kingdom (GDPR) and California (CCPA/CPRA), these rights and the “Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information” opt-out are exercised through the device-level ad controls above and by contacting us.
The App is intended for a general audience and is not directed to children under the age of 13 (or the equivalent minimum age in your country). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will take appropriate steps to delete it.
On-device game data remains on your device until you clear it or uninstall the App. Information processed by Google for advertising and for billing is retained according to Google’s own retention practices, described in its privacy policy.
We take reasonable measures to protect information handled by the App. Because gameplay data is stored locally on your device and we do not operate our own servers for the App, most of your information never leaves your device. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, however, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
The App is operated from the United States. If you use the App from outside the United States, any information processed through the advertising or billing services may be transferred to and processed in the United States or other countries where Google and its partners operate, which may have different data-protection laws than your country.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the “Last updated” date at the top of this page. Significant changes may be announced within the App or on our website. Your continued use of the App after an update means you accept the revised policy.
